Acadian began providing personal medical alert systems and wholesale security alarm monitoring in 1991. The growth of these services eventually led to the creation of separate specialized security monitoring centers.
Acadian Total Security operates a network of three highly sophisticated, bi-directionally redundant call centers with highly trained dispatchers. The Acadian Total Security monitoring centers are Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) 5-Diamond certified and UL listed, setting a standard in the security monitoring industry.
In 2014, Acadian expanded to include retail equipment sales and installations in South Louisiana. We provide home and business fire and security systems, home automation devices, audio visual equipment and services, personal medical alert systems, video security surveillance and monitoring, access control systems and GPS fleet management.

Acadian has been giving back to the community since its inception. One of the largest ways we respond to our community's needs is through the United Way of Acadiana campaign. We encourage our employees to give an hour of their pay each month to this cause and those who do are entered into a drawing to win prizes. We strive to give more each year and our goal is to get more than 50% of our employees to donate to this campaign. Each year, Acadian is consistently a top contributor to this worthwhile fund that helps one in every three people in our area receive the assistance and resources they need.

Our fleet of 585 ambulances transports 630,000 patients and travels 38 million miles each year, enough to circumnavigate the earth 4.2 times each day.
